Summer is very much here in Les Gets.  There are happy hikers and bikers enjoying the sunshine and beautiful mountains and with so much going on in Les Gets this summer - you'd be mad to miss out...

Next Up - The Mechanical Music Festival.  Les Gets - the home of Mechanical music in France boasts an impressive museum opened in 1988 and celebrating its 30th year this year showcasing mechanical music through time. The village proudly boasts a wonderful traditional carousel still in use and enjoyed by the children.

The 18th edition of this international mechanical music festival is on the 21st and 22nd July and will present artistic shows from around 400 participants from all over Europe.  The Streets and town square will be alive with music, concerts, animations and colourful acts from 9 in the morning until 11 at night - this really will be a spectacle to enjoy.  Access and entry to this fun event are free and will appeal to all ages. 

This will be the biggest European meeting of Mechanical Music to date and will be more surprising than ever in this European Year of Cultural Heritage!

Visit The Mechanical Museum while you are in Les Gets to learn more about this fascinating musical history in France.  The museum has around 750 exhibits, an original and unique collection of working instruments spread over several rooms. There is an animated and guided tour offered.  


From 02/01 to 30/04 from 14:15 to 19:15.  Closed on Saturdays.
From 02/05 to 30/06, daily from 14:15 to 19:15.

From 01/07 to 31/08, every day from 10:15 to 19:15. Closed between 12.15 and 14.15.
From 01/09 to 02/11, daily from 14:15 to 19:15.

Annual closure from October 31st to December 23rd. Guided tour from 15h to 17h.
In the gallery of the museum there is a  small flea market during the opening hours of the Museum: At least 50% is for the benefit of the restoration.
